Gratitude is Dan Imhoff’s fifth solo album, recorded in Valencia and Girona, Spain in October and November 2021. Once again Dan chose to work with Spanish musicians to help capture his California country gospel compositions. These songs are wide ranging, from blues to folk rock, rockabilly, flamenco pop and jazz. Both lyrically and musically the 12 original songs on “Gratitude” deliver a profound depth in songwriting. Most of the material was written during the Covid lockdown in Dan’s Llama Shed studio, though the project began long before that. There are a number of co-writers on these songs as well as many of the collaborators from the Peregrino album plus a whole new cast of Iberian characters.
